STEVE GREENBERG'S WRITINGS

BIO AND CONTACTS

An early baby boomer kid, I was born in Hartford, Ct in 1950, the oldest of 3 siblings. In the early years I delivered papers, eggs ( I had an egg route, carrying dozens of eggs in my bicycle basket selling them to the neighbors….kept me in comic books), and worked as a waiter through high school (I waited on Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward…made me a high school celebrity). Then came college, a year vagabonding around Europe, marriage in 1975, settling in the Albany NY area, and in our spare time we had 2 kids, and 3 grandchildren (so far…our son needs to get busy).

I had a career in state government (agriculture), and a second shorter career as a property manager. We now own a small property management company and a dozen apartments, which keeps us occupied in our old age.

MY WRITINGS

I used to write a lot in my NY State career. I wrote speeches for commissioners, many policy papers, and was frequently published in trade journals. But I haven’t written much since my government days, and when Stan suggested I join the writers group, I was wondering if I was still literate enough to join such an esteemed collection of authors. So for better or for worse, and with the humor that comes from being on this earth some 70+ years, here goes!
